No one ever saw her; not really.
Sometimes she felt invisible like an apparition, sometimes she wished she was.
No one seemed to understand her, or even want to. To them all she was just an angry girl in black; a misfit of the conservative borough, outcast by the gossipy residents. She didn’t belong anywhere or with anyone
... Until he showed up.
He was the first person who saw her.
Not a delinquent, anarchist, arsonist, or classic problem child; just a young girl who really really needed someone to believe in.
And when she found that person, she’d cling to him like her very life depended on it (and perhaps occasionally, it did). She’d never ever let her new-found faith in another being go - never.
Wherever he went she’d always take her rightful place at his side. That is where she belonged now. She’d be fierce to his enemies, courageous to his dangers, understanding of his decisions and devotedly loyal to her core.
